Ariane Mendes is an exploration geologist, who graduated in geology from the University Center of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, in 2018 where she carried out her final course project in the field of geosciences and environmental education. She moved to Europe where she spent a period in Ireland and then moved to Portugal where she obtained a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Technology at the University of Porto, where she is currently a research fellow at the Faculty of Sciences in the InovMineral project. During her Master's degree, she had greater contact with studies focused on the energy transition and the resources used for it. Her research was focused on prospecting methods for Lithium-bearing pegmatites in the northern region of Portugal, in addition to consulting on greenfield projects in Lithium-bearing pegmatites in Norway.
