Educatel Brazil was a cross-sectional study conducted by telephone interview with the aim of producing information on health and absenteeism in Brazilian schoolteachers. The following information is available on the WebSIG: Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) of municipalities (layer 1) location of schools (layer 2), federative units (FU) (layer 3), absence rates due to vocal (layer 4) and psychological symptoms (layer 5) The study included 4,979 teachers representing those who worked in the classroom in Brazilian metropolitan schools in the fourth quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016. The absence rates due to vocal and psychological symptoms for each FU were adjusted for the variables sex (male, female) and age (years) of teachers, SVI and working conditions. The following working conditions were analyzed: work journey longer than hours 40 hours (no, yes), Working time (<10, 10-20, >20 years), School administration (private, municipal, state, federal), income at school in minimum wages (>three, until three), working in more than one school (no, yes), working in another ativivity (no, yes); perception of intense noise at school (no, yes), student indiscipline (no, yes), communting home-work to and from (10-20, 21-50, >50 minutes), experience verbal violence in school (no, yes) and physical violence in school (no, yes), school size by number of teachers (≤10, 11-20, 21-30, >30); high demand at work (no, yes), rare opportunity to learn new things (no, yes), insufficient time to complete tasks (no, yes), restriction of autonomy (no, yes) and low social support (no, yes).
